Aotearoa is a land that has been shaped by volcanic activity, glaciers and tectonic plates over millions of years. It has been inhabited by humans for about 800 years ago, but before that it was home to many species such as moa and kiwi birds. The beauty of New Zealand's South Island landscape has been captured by landscape photographers and artists of Aotearoa for many years and I feel privileged to be able to do this as a profession.
This gallery is all about the landscape of New Zealand and in particular South Island New Zealand landscape photography. It includes a detailed account of landscapes and other natural features found in the South Island, New Zealand. I have spent the majority of my career taking South Island photos, building my portfolio full of the mountains and glacial lakes that are so abundant in the South Island. South Island images are amongst my most popular and are actually what put my landscape photography on the map!

The South Island of New Zealand is a land of diverse natural beauty, from its rugged coastline to its alpine landscapes. In between there are stunning lakes, rivers and waterfalls and forests with incredible ancient trees. Being a New Zealand Photographer in the South Island with so many opportunities and breathtaking scenery makes taking a photograph that looks good on print an easy job for me.
